What material is it made of?

The Coffee Mats are made of 100% mixed fibers: viscose, polyester, and olefin.

Are these mats machine washable?

Yes, they are! Machine wash them separately with a liquid detergent before first use. Some shrinkage and softening may occur after washing, but it won't affect the performance of the mats. Lay them flat to dry and do not iron. Do not use bleach.

Can I use this as a trivet mat?

No, the mat is not intended for use as a trivet mat or a hot pad.
