To use this product, simply add 1 oz. of Bar Keepers Friend Coffee Maker Descaler to each 8 oz. of cold water needed to completely fill your coffee maker's water reservoir. Be careful not to overfill. Before starting the descaling process, remove any disposable filters or pods from the coffee maker. Place an empty carafe or cup under the coffee discharge and initiate the brew cycle. It may take more than one cycle to completely empty the reservoir. Once the cleaning solution has been used, discard it and thoroughly rinse the carafe or cup. Refill the coffee maker's reservoir with clean cold water and repeat the brewing cycle to rinse the coffee maker. Dispose of the used rinse water.

The ingredients of this product include oxalic acid. Safety should be taken into consideration when using this product. Keep it away from your eyes, skin, and clothing. In case of contact with your eyes, remove any contact lenses and rinse with water for 15 minutes. Do not ingest the product and if ingested, do not induce vomiting. Instead, drink 1 to 2 glasses of water and consult a physician.
